Merry Christmas from Anchor of Gold

You will not hear anything about Festivus from me. Sorry.

Festivus is nothing more than a contrived holiday from an episode of Seinfeld that has, somehow, become a national phenomenon.

There, I said it. All right, those of you who do not celebrate Christmas, stop reading here.

Merry Christmas.

This has been a good year for Vanderbilt athletics. The women’s bowling team won a national title. Women’s tennis came very close to winning one, and the baseball team was very close to a College World Series. The men’s basketball team welcomed the two most heralded recruits in program history to campus (in the spirit of the season, let’s forget about what happened to one of them for the moment.) And the football team beat Tennessee for the third year in a row and made a bowl game.

Perhaps, then, better days are in store for us here at Anchor of Gold dot com. Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night.
