Jared Wheatley is a 6’2”, 195-pound punter from Porter Ridge High School in Indian Trail, North Carolina.

He is ranked as the #2992 recruit nationally, the #17 punter, and the #108 prospect in North Carolina in the 247 Sports composite.

He had offers from Charlotte and FIU; before committing to Vanderbilt on November 4, 2018, he was committed to Charlotte.

Wheatley was recruited by special teams coach Shawn Mennenga.
