Vanderbilt Commodores (1-0) at USC Trojans (1-0)
When: 8:00 PM CT, Sunday, November 11, 2018
Where: Galen Center, Los Angeles, California
TV: Pac-12 Network
Radio: Vanderbilt IMG Sports Network
The young Vanderbilt Commodores, after a 92-79 win over Winthrop on opening night, travel westward for their first real test of the college basketball season. The USC Trojans just narrowly missed the NCAA Tournament last year, going 24-12 and making it to the second round of the NIT.
Of course, that was considered a massive disappointment: when Vanderbilt met USC last November, USC was ranked in the Top 10 and was fortunate to escape Memorial Gym with a 93-89 win in overtime. This is the return game, and while USC lost three starters off last year’s team — seniors Elijah Stewart and Jordan McLaughlin, as well as junior Chimezie Metu — they’re still very talented.
Oh, right, and you probably won’t actually be able to watch this game, which is being televised on the Pac-12 Network, which basically nobody gets except for VandyImport. But you can probably listen to Joe Fisher’s radio call. Anchor Down.
