The Price is Right: World Series Game 2 Game Thread

New, comments

Tonight, we root for the Sox. Game 3, we root for the Dodgers. We are a fickle bunch.

Unfortunately, we didn’t get our wish of a Price v. Buehler Game 2 Matchup. David Price will start game two for the 7th Inning Sweet Carolines/Curt Schilling’s Bloody Socks, while Walker Buehler will start game three for the Los Angeles Brooklyn Trolley Dodgers.

Tony Kemp, somehow, is not in this series at all.

Regardless, take a few hours tonight to watch a distinguished former Vandy Boy pitch on the World’s stage. Though Price has a 5+ ERA in the postseason, he went 6 IP scoreless in an ALCS clinching win, so he is trending upwards.

The BoSox took game one 8-4 in a game involving no Vanderbilt Commodores whatsoever. If you’re thinking, “Why did they even play it?” I feel you, but Boston has the most SEC guys left in the postseason, and a dude named “Mookie” who openly admitted Tony Kemp was a better player than him in high school.

Tonight, we root for Mookie-kind.

Either way, MLB, like Wallpaper said, we at Vanderbilt are “really glad you’re feeling [us].”

What college besides us has two starting pitchers in the World Series?

No one.

Our practice facility is one big room full of bad bitches.
