LA Valley College LB Tyree Thompson Commits to Vanderbilt

Vanderbilt picked up its 19th commitment in the 2018 recruiting class on Sunday night, as Los Angeles Valley College LB Tyree Thompson announced a commitment to Vanderbilt not long after decommitting from North Texas.

A native of Mission Hills, CA, Thompson started his college career at Sacramento State before transferring to LA Valley College. In 2017, he notched 51 tackles, including 11 tackles for loss and one sack, in the Antelopes’ ten-game schedule. Here is Thompson’s highlight video:

Thompson has good measurables at 6’3” and 235 pounds. Of course, well, there’s good reason to be skeptical of a guy who started his college career at Sacramento State, but we’ll see.
