Game 15: Vanderbilt Commodores at South Carolina Gamecocks -- Open Game Thread

Vanderbilt is a 3-point underdog in Columbia.

Jim Brown-USA TODAY Sports

The Vanderbilt Commodores look to make it two in a row as they travel to Columbia, South Carolina, to face the South Carolina Gamecocks tonight. Tipoff is at 5:45 PM CT, and the game will be televised on the SEC Network with Mike Morgan and Dane Bradshaw on the broadcast team. This game can be streamed on the WatchESPN app; Joe Fisher's audio, as always, is available courtesy of the Vanderbilt IMG Sports Network.

Vanderbilt has yet to win away from the friendly confines of Memorial Gym this season, with losses at Belmont, Arizona State, and Florida, as well as neutral-court losses to Virginia and Seton Hall. This game, though, might represent an opportunity to end that drought: South Carolina is 9-5, 0-2 in the SEC, and is coming off a home loss to Missouri on Wednesday night. The final score of that game was 79-68, but South Carolina trailed by as much as 21 points in the second half. Vanderbilt won the most recent meeting between the two teams, a 71-62 decision in Nashville last February 18.

South Carolina may be without starting point guard Hassani Gravett, who's missed the last two games due to an ankle injury, but Vegas still has the Gamecocks as a 3-point favorite. KenPom predicts a final score of 69-66, South Carolina, with Vanderbilt having a 37% chance of winning.
