Ugh.
Your Vanderbilt Commodores head to Starkville, Mississippi, tonight as 4.5-point underdogs against the Mississippi State Bulldogs. Game time is at 6:00 PM CT. The game will be televised on the SEC Network with Dave Neal and Daymeon Fishback on the call, and can be streamed on WatchESPN. Joe Fisher and Tim Thompson's radio call can be found on the Vanderbilt IMG Sports Network.
Vanderbilt dropped its third game in a row on Saturday in a 74-67 loss to Kentucky, and is now 6-11 on the season, 1-3 in the SEC. Matthew Fisher-Davis had nine points in 16 minutes but injured his shoulder during the game and is a gametime decision for tonight's game.
The last time Vanderbilt traveled to Starkville was February 16, 2016. You might remember that game as the beginning of the end of the Kevin Stallings era: Vanderbilt blew a 17-point second-half lead to lose 75-74 on Quinndary Weatherspoon's buzzer-beater and flood David Williams' voicemail with angry fans the next morning. Weatherspoon is Mississippi State's leading scorer this season, averaging 14.4 ppg.
