Dan Dawkins, from The Peddie School in Hightstown, NJ, announced on Twitter on Thursday that he will be the third member of Vanderbilt’s 2018 recruiting class.
So, let’s break this down. Rivals rates the 6’4”, 295-pound Dawkins as a four-star recruit and the #1 center prospect in the country. The 247 Sports composite rating is a bit lower on Dawkins, ranking him as the #6 center prospect and a three-star recruit.
And, of course, he’s familiar with fellow 2018 QB commit Allan Walters, who plays at the same high school. Here is Dawkins’ junior year highlight video:
With the new commitment, Vanderbilt’s 2018 recruiting class is now ranked 38th nationally by 247 Sports.
