Around this time last year, Vanderbilt fans were fretting about the slow start to the 2017 recruiting class. That’s not happening this year.
Miles Jones, a wide receiver, running back, and kick returner from American Heritage in Fort Lauderdale, FL, dropped anchor on Sunday after a weekend visit to Vanderbilt’s campus.

Miles Jones is rated as a three-star recruit and the #64 athlete prospect in the country (and the #126 prospect in the state of Florida) by 247 Sports. Rivals also rates Jones as a three-star recruit, and the #31 athlete prospect in the country and #79 overall prospect in Florida.
Jones is a smaller guy (listed at 5’9” and anywhere from 165 to 170 depending on which recruiting service you look at) but he’s a good athlete, with a 4.67 40-yard dash, a 4.08 shuttle run and a 37-inch vertical leap (source: Hudl). Here is Jones’s junior season highlight video.
Also, “Miles Jones” is fun to say. Anchor Down, Miles Jones.
