Last year, your Vanderbilt Commodores suffered an embarrassing defeat at the hands of the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders by a score of 71-48.
This year, Vanderbilt meets MTSU in a similar spot. Off to a 3-5 start, and probably needing a break to retool things in practice, this time the two teams meet at Memorial Gym. Game time is 7 PM CT and the game can be streamed on WatchESPN.
Vanderbilt is 0-4 this season against KenPom top 100 teams with losses to USC, Virginia, Seton Hall, and Kansas State. After tonight, the Commodores will be off for 11 days for finals, but this team still feels like it could use a break either way, with three games after finals to prepare for SEC play. This feels like a must-win for the Commodores with the losses piling up early in the season, but that was probably true last year as well.
