Your Vanderbilt Commodores make the roughly 1.5-mile trip over to the Curb Events Center tonight to take on the Belmont Bruins.
Yes, yes, we're all excited about Brentwood Academy's Darius Garland announcing for the Commodores this afternoon, but let's not forget that there is a game to be played. This game won't be televised, per se, but it will be streamed on the OVC Digital Network and of course Joe Fisher's call will be on the Vanderbilt IMG Sports Network.
Belmont opened the season on Friday night with an 85-82 loss to Washington in Seattle, but you can bet on the Bruins being fired up to play their crosstown rival. Vanderbilt is 1-0 after beating Austin Peay, 73-54, on Friday night. Matthew Fisher-Davis missed that game due to an injury but reportedly will be back in the lineup tonight, though no official announcement has been made.
Anchor Down, everyone, and if Darius Garland is at the game everyone give him a hearty welcome.
