Game 10: Kentucky Wildcats at Vanderbilt Commodores -- Open GameThread

The Commodores are favored against the 6-3 Wildcats.

Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports

The Vanderbilt Commodores (4-5, 0-5) seek their first SEC win of the season as the Kentucky Wildcats (6-3, 3-3) come to Vanderbilt Stadium for a 3:00 PM CT kickoff today. The game will be televised on the SEC Network and can be streamed on the WatchESPN app.

Vanderbilt snapped a five-game losing streak with a 31-17 win over Western Kentucky last week. The Commodores' defense has been shredded to the tune of 46.6 points per game in SEC play, but that's contrasted with giving up just 30 points -- total -- in four nonconference games.

In spite of a 6-3 record, computers aren't too high on Kentucky and neither are the oddsmakers in Vegas. Both S&P+ and Sagarin have Kentucky ranked #88 in the country (Vanderbilt is #70 in S&P+ and #90 in Sagarin), and the oddsmakers had Vanderbilt as a 3-point favorite, though bettors have taken that down to 2 or 2.5.
