A little late on this news, but better late than never right? Besides, I know of quite a few Commodores heading over to lovely Oxford for the game. In any case, earlier this week it was announced that the Vanderbilt-Mississippi game will be a 1430 CT (1530 ET) kickoff. When I first heard that I was shocked. Wait, we’re the CBS game? I thought to myself. No, we’re the SECN game for that time, you dummy. Stupid VTPhD. Stupid.
In any case, that’s not even enough time to get good and rowdy for the game. Barely enough time to enjoy the Grove, a tailgate experience that’s allegedly better than LSU. Well, that’s what Rebs constantly insist anyway. I sincerely doubt the Grove has a place where can get a top notch alligator sauce piquante, stumble over to another friend’s tailgate for some fresh crawfish étouffée, before getting into an argument in front of a multi-million dollar tiger habitat over how many times Les O is going to make a bad play call.
Nonetheless, we’ll be facing a winnable game next weekend in early afternoon.
