The Vanderbilt Commodores’ Week 10 game against the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers will kick off at 11 AM CT and be broadcast on ESPNU, per a release earlier this week from the SEC office.
While Jefferson Pilot Sports no longer exists, an 11 AM kickoff against Western Kentucky is the kind of thing that says “Jefferson Pilot Sports.” The Hilltoppers are currently 5-2, but that record comes against five teams that S&P+ considers to be worse than Vanderbilt (plus an FCS team.) Western Kentucky somehow managed to score 7 points against Illinois and beat an 0-7 UTEP team by one point. They could add a loss to Lane Kiffin’s Florida Atlantic team this weekend.
But they still have the best mascot in college sports. Nobody can take that away from you, Hilltoppers.
