Welcome to the light side, Brendon.

Yep. I’m beating you on the recruiting trail too, Butch.

Vanderbilt’s 2018 recruiting class got a boost on Tuesday night, when Chattanooga Baylor safety Brendon Harris committed to the Commodores. Harris is the 15th player to commit to Vanderbilt in the class of 2018.

Harris is rated as the #16 safety prospect and the #199 overall prospect in the class by Rivals, the #20 safety according to ESPN, and the #17 safety prospect and #199 overall according to the 247 Sports composite. All three have him rated as a four-star recruit.

Also, if you clicked that ESPN link, you’ll learn that Brendon is in fact committed to the Tennessee Volunteers, which was true as of three weeks ago but is no longer the case. Harris initially committed to the Vols back in May and his 247 Sports page also lists offers from Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Kentucky, LSU, Mississippi State, Missouri, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Penn State, South Carolina, and Virginia.

At 6’1” and 205 pounds, Harris joins an already strong group of defensive back recruits. Here’s his highlight video.

Anchor Down, and welcome to the good guys.
