Zach Cunningham: “I will always be a Commodore”

This will probably be better received than James Franklin’s ad in the Hustler.

Vanderbilt Commodores linebacker Zach Cunningham may be leaving for the NFL Draft, but he’s not leaving Vanderbilt behind.

Cunningham penned an open letter to fans on Tuesday in which he discusses the difficulty of his decision to declare for the draft, as well as thanking the Vanderbilt family for their support.

Cunningham was the undisputed leader of the Commodores’ defense in 2016 and leaves a big hole on that side of the ball, but he’s projected as a first-round pick in April’s draft. But it’s a positive to think that he will continue to be an ambassador for the football program while playing in the NFL.
