Well, I guess we have an answer to whether Josh Henderson was granted that elusive seventh year of eligibility. Hendo signed a contract yesterday with Bulgarian club Academik Plovdiv.

It's not the NBA, but Akademik Bulteks 99 Plovdiv, based in the second-largest city in Bulgaria, does play in the top-level Bulgarian basketball league in which they finished 6-21 and in ninth place (of 10 teams) last season. Former UNLV player Oscar Bellfield is the only American player listed on their roster, and I've never heard of that guy.
As a sixth-year senior, Henderson averaged 3.5 ppg and 2.2 rpg while playing 10.2 minutes a night for Vanderbilt. For his career, he scored 416 points and blocked 46 shots.
In truth, this is all just an excuse to post this one last time:
Vanderbilt will feel empty without Hendo on the team, and we've all been waiting six years to make peace with that.
