NCAA Baseball Tournament Selection Show Live Thread

New, comments

We already know that Vanderbilt will host a regional. Here's your live thread for the selection show, which will be broadcast at 11 AM CT on ESPNU.

Steven Branscombe-USA TODAY Sports

We learned last night that Vanderbilt will host a regional as its quest begins to make another College World Series.  The Commodores are one of seven SEC teams announced as a regional host for the NCAA baseball tournament.

Today, we will learn which three teams will join us in the Nashville regional, which will start on Friday, June 3, and will be double elimination.  We'll also find out if we will be a national seed (answer: probably not) and which other regional we're paired with for the super regional.  If we're not a national seed, we can still host a super regional if the host of the opposite regional doesn't make it to that round.

The Selection Show will be broadcast at 11 AM CT on ESPNU, and can also be seen on WatchESPN.  Consider this your live thread for those of you watching the selection show.  The quest for another trip to Omaha begins on Friday.
