As a full-service Vanderbilt sports blog, you've come to expect coverage of what happens to former Vanderbilt players when they're no longer Vanderbilt players. Whether their career involves professional basketball or professional football or whatever, we feel it's our duty to keep you updated on what is happening with our former players.
And that includes appearing on ABC's "The Bachelorette", which we know all of you watch because tell me this: what teenage girl doesn't watch "The Bachelorette"?
Yeah, that's Bachelorette contestant "Jordan", whom many outlets only refer to as Aaron Rodgers' brother, but few outlets note that he's former Vanderbilt quarterback Jordan Rodgers. Of course "Jordan" refers to himself as a former pro quarterback, though he never played a game in the league.
More importantly, "Jordan" claims the wildest thing he's ever done in the bedroom is trying to hang a TV on the wall without directions or a stud finder, and he claims to be 6'2" -- but Vanderbilt says he's 6'1". Exaggerating much? Oh, and "Jordan" wishes he were a food critic and hates it when his date doesn't want to eat in front of him.
But at this point, the only thing we really have to ask is why, ABC? Why couldn't you have sought out Patton Robinette for this? After all, not only is he a former quarterback as well, he's also going to be a doctor. How could you go wrong?
And now, as we move closer to the summer and actual Vanderbilt sports head into the offseason, Anchor of Gold will become a place where we post Bachelorette watch threads and gossip about what she could possibly see in Nick S.; you know, other than that Nick S. lists The Sandlot as his favorite movie. Brace yourselves.
