The new Vanderbilt coach continues to fill out his staff, this time adding a former Valparaiso player.

After naming Roger Powell Jr. to his staff upon taking the job, new Vanderbilt basketball coach Bryce Drew reportedly made another addition to his staff on Saturday.

Drew added another assistant coach who was once on his staff at Valparaiso.  Jake Diebler played at Valparaiso, graduating in 2009, then spent four years on staff at Valpo -- first under former coach Homer Drew as a graduate assistant for one season and director of basketball operations for the second season, then became a full-time assistant coach for two seasons under Bryce Drew.  Diebler then spent the last three years as video coordinator at Ohio State under Thad Matta.

With the news that Director of Basketball Operations Dan Cage and Strength and Conditioning Coach Garry Christopher are following Kevin Stallings to Pittsburgh, Drew still has more work to fill out his staff for his first year at Vanderbilt.  It is still unknown if current assistant coach Derrick Jones or Player Development Assistant Darshawn McClellan will be retained.
