Bowl Season Openthread and How to Watch: Opening Weekend

Vandy’s game is still a week away. Let’s watch some MAC teams instead.

NCAA Football: Toledo at Western Michigan Patrick Gorski-USA TODAY Sports

It was a long seven days, but college football is back in our lives. Unless you got desperate and, say, trekked up to northeast Wisconsin for a D3 playoff game in 10 degree weather, you’ve gone a whole week without the NCAA’s second-finest product (the first? Indentured servitude).

Saturday kicks off the FBS postseason with five games pulled from the depth’s of Power 5 non-conference scheduling. A pair of recent FBS additions (UT-San Antonio and Appalachian State), a team that went 0-12 in 2015, and one of the MAC’s most storied programs (TOLEDO) will all be in action.

Since we’ve got nothing to do but run through hypotheticals regarding Wakeyleaks (Joe Fisher would never betray us like that), let’s run with an open thread to talk college football in advance of Vanderbilt’s trip to the Independence Bowl. Here’s your full slate of games for today’s postseason kickoff.
