The #Select16 is still growing. After a busy weekend of official visits, Coach Mason and this staff have to be excited about what they have been able to accomplish on the recruiting trail in the past month or so. Late Sunday afternoon, news began to circulate on Twitter that two anchors dropped, adding some explosive offense to the class of 2016.
Jackson Winrow is an explosive wide receiver from Shawnee HS in Shawnee, OK who, as of today, is still flying under-the-radar according to 247Sports. Winrow had another offer from Tulsa, as well as interest from Texas Tech, Oklahoma, and others.
Kalija Lipscomb, a wide receiver from Jesuit HS in New Orleans, Louisiana, who is currently rated as a three-star prospect according to 247Sports. Lipscomb chose the Commodores over other offers from Nebraska, Northwestern, and Louisiana Tech. Lipscomb has official visits planned for both Northwestern and Nebraska, and it is unknown whether he still plans to make those trips after committing on Sunday.
We will have more on this in the Recruiting Update Tuesday afternoon, as well as film breakdown on each athlete, how they fit into the depth chart, and final targets going forward.
