Vanderbilt Football: Three Key 2016 Recruits Move In On Campus Today

After quite the dramatic "Dead Period" three of the biggest targets from the class of 2016 have moved on campus.

Vanderbilt football is getting a big boost today when early enrollees Deuce Wallace, Joejuan Williams, and Zaire Jones all move to Nashville. After a season that ended with a disappointing 4-8 record, Coach Mason and this staff needed to be sure to lock up the recruits already committed, while finishing the class strong. The first half is complete. Each of the three has signed their National Letter of Intent.

For Zaire Jones, the drama was settled in mid-August when he de-committed from Mississippi State, and then visited Vanderbilt soon after. After that visit, Jones made the announcement that he was committing to the Commodores. Jones is rated as a high 3-star, according to 247Sports.

For Deuce Wallace, while he has been committed for quite some time now, it wouldn't be SEC recruiting if it didn't have drama involved in it. According to several people with knowledge, several schools reached out to Deuce throughout his senior year. Among those, LSU, Maryland, and UCF were the ones that most recently had reached out to gauge the chance he would consider a flip this late in the recruiting process. He did not entertain any of the interest, and getting him on campus early is crucial for the future of this program. Check out his Signing Day Highlights below.

Joejuan WIlliams was the biggest recruiting win for this staff in the 2016 Class. Anytime beating ut is possible, as well as other SEC teams such as Alabama and Auburn, it's a good day.According to 247Sports, Williams is rated as the number fifteen CB in the country, as well as a top 3 player in the state of Tennessee Just days before moving on campus in Nashville, both Nick Saban and his staff as well as Gus Malzahn and his staff decided to reach out in an attempt to sway Joejuan away from his commitment to the Commodores. He sent out a tweet in the midst of all the rumors, with two simple words that put an end to it all:

As the day goes on tomorrow, look for a quick post linking to the tweets or pictures of each of them officially moving on campus. We have reached the home stretch here with less than a month remaining between now an NSD 2016. Keep it here at AoG for the latest! #AnchorDown
