Vandy Veterans + Free Time: The Best of Vanderbilt Basketball's #VUChat

Vanderbilt basketball held a Twitter chat introduction for the four freshmen who just arrived in Nashville. Vandy fans had some good questions, but the real stars of Wednesday's chat were the Commodores' veterans.

On Wednesday, the Vanderbilt athletics office gave the Commodores' incoming basketball players a formal introduction to the twitterverse. Joseph Toye, Samir Sehic, D'Jery Baptiste, and Camron Justice sat down with officials to answer questions asked by fans using the #VUChat hashtag. This gave Vandy fans the chance to get to know the four newest 'Dores and get answers on some softball questions about Nashville, music, Memorial Gym, and road trips. It was so intense that shirts were declared optional to ensure maximum comfort.

The real insight didn't come from the fans or the freshmen, however. Vanderbilt's veterans made sure to get in on the action, led by Twitter All-Star (and seven-footer) Luke Kornet. And while they produced plenty of retweets and favorites, they were conspicuously absent from the official @VandyMBB Twitter account. Here's a sampling of the best questions the Commodores' veterans had for their rookies.

These are the guys we're counting on for a return trip to the NCAA Tournament. It's gonna be a fun ride.
