Buehler had a trying Junior season that opened with mild elbow soreness. As such, Corbin played it safe, and brought him in later in the season, and further, kept him as the Sunday starter all year. Prior to this, Buehler was the MVP of the Cape, and was the 2nd best Vandy pitcher to Carson Fulmer in last year's CWS title season.
Buehler throws an easy 95mph, and has two other potentially plus pitches. His major league comp is Roy Oswalt (by mlb.com). I don't buy it. To me. he's Andy Ashby. Regardless, he's a MLB starter with the potential to be a #2 or #3 starter.
For Vandy, we're in the enviable position of having Buehler eminently fresh for Omaha, as he didn't have to face the Illini (as we beat them 2 games to 0), and having him angry at being snubbed. Teams who face him in Omaha will not have a good time.
For the team that drafted him, his arm will be more than fresh.
3 teammates have gone in top half of 1st round ONCE. @VandyBaseball trio may do it. #MLBDraft http://t.co/Pwj82AWWRO pic.twitter.com/EG6CYfgIrG

Three first rounders, eh?
Sure, but Buehler was overlooked. I say he goes off and tells the rest of the league to suck it.
