This week saw several offers, and a couple visits from some main targets. Did any of the offered prospects from last week commit?

High schools are letting out for the last time for summer break and the coaches have begun to slow down the 2016 offers; this means one thing - SUMMER 2015 RECRUITING SEASON IS HERE.

Since we last checked in on the status of Coach Mason and his staff, the 'Dores eclipsed the 200 offer milestone they were near for the 2016 class. The offers have gone out all over- according to 247Sports, athletes in more than 30 of the 50 states have at least one Vandy offer. Florida and Georgia currently leadthe way with 25 and 24, respectively. The 2017 class has also begun to pick up when it comes to offers. The Commodores now have offered over 50 potential recruits. who will enter their junior years this fall.

As was noted last week, Vanderbilt had offered LaRonde Liverpool. While the offer was thought to hold significant meaning to Liverpool, he committed on June 2nd to Wake Forest.

2016 target OT Zach Adams was seen on campus in Nashville on June 2nd, and it looks like he had a good time according to his twitter:

RECENT 2016 OFFERS

Sam Brodner- Brodner is an intriguing recruit from Glenbard West High School in Glen Ellyn, IL. He currently plays both running back and linebacker, and he was extremely excited about his Vanderbilt offer. According to 247Sports, Brodner is planning on a NashVegas trip on June 10th for an unofficial visit. Brodner has great vision which he uses to evade defenses on offense and get to the ball carrier on defense. He has the speed to separate himself from both blockers and defensive backs. Brodner's other offers include Bowling Green, Illinois, and Nevada along with interest from Wisconsin as well. Check out his versatility by watching his highlights here.

Dru Mathis - Mathis is an under-the-radar 3-star OLB prospect that Vanderbilt has discovered before several other Power 5 schools can come calling. Mathis plays for Buena High School in Ventura, CA. Mathis has other reported offers from San Diego State, UNLV, and New Mexico according to 247Sports. Mathis announced the news on his Twitter:

Cameron Kolwich - Kolwich is currently a Northwestern commit, but Mason's offer was reportedly given prior to his commitment. Vanderbilt is still in the running for the top-25 OG who is currently playing for St. Mary's HS in West Bloomfield, MI. Kolwich has great power and size (6-foot-5 270 pounds) and his Junior highlights can be found here.

Alex Criddle - ANOTHER OFFER FROM THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA?! While Oklahoma is a severely under rated state when it comes to recruiting, it is not one that we are used to Vanderbilt having success in. According to 247Sports, the "Dores are the leaders for Criddle, who is a 6-foot-4 315 pound DT who currently plays for Edison Preparatory School in Tulsa, OK. Vanderbilt is the first Power 5 offer for Criddle, joining his list of offers which includes Navy, Tulane, Harvard, and Hawaii. While Vanderbilt is the perceived leader, 247Sports lists that local schools such as Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and Missouri have shown interest and could be close to offering the 3-star prospect. Criddle uses his size to over power offensive linemen as you can see by checking out his highlights here.

Tahj Herring- Herring is a top-60 CB who, from the moment Vanderbilt offered, has been significantly interested in the program in Nashville. Herring currently plays for Suffield Academy in Suffield, CT, and is the number 2 prospect in the state according to 247Sports. He holds other reported offers from UConn, Virginia, and Temple as well as interest from Maryland. Check out Herring's highlights here.

Micheal Johnson - Johnson is currently a University of Houston commit, and while they recently have added a significant amount of recruiting momentum, Coach Mason showed no remorse when they offered Johnson just hours after his commitment to the Cougars. Johnson is a 3-Star defensive end with an extremely quick first step who plays for Hightower High School in Missouri City, TX. Vanderbilt is his first SEC offer, and he lists other reported offers from Indiana, Illinois, and Washington to name a few. His highlights are extremely impressive, check them out here.

Anthony Julmisse- Anthony's recruitment has really picked up in the past week, with 7 offers heading his way. He currently plays running back for South Plantation High School in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Julmisse is a solid RB who has a way of breaking tackles, and he has plus plus speed. Julmisse has other reported offers from Bowling Green, Iowa, West Virginia, and Wisconsin among others. His recruitment is one that continues to pick up, and you can count on us here at AoG to keep you updated on anything we hear. His highlights will not disappoint you, especially the first play. Check them out here.

As the summer goes on, FanShots will also be a critical way of keeping up with Vanderbilt Recruiting, and the weekly updates will go into more depth on the recent offers, commits, visits, and more. Next week, the plan is to go over any recent 2016 offers while also taking an early look at the top targets for Coach Mason for the 2016 class. We'll also begin to give an early introduction to the reported offers of the 2017 Class.
