Vanderbilt won't be able to clinch a spot in the Super Regional on Sunday - heavy rain made sure of that.
The second game of Sunday's Nashville Regional between the Commodores and the Radford Highlanders has been postponed after weather washed out any chances of evening baseball. The two teams will instead play Monday at 3pm CST. If Radford wins, they'll rematch at 7pm in a game that will crown the regional's champion.
The win gives the Highlanders a much-needed rest after playing three games in the past three days. Radford bounced back from a 7-1 loss in the first game of the regional to be one of the last two teams standing. The Highlanders beat Lipscomb 5-2 on Saturday and defeated Indiana 5-3 on Sunday. They've been perfect so far in elimination games this postseason.
Two more wins would send them to baseball's sweet sixteen. First, they'll have to get past Vanderbilt in Nashville. The Commodores are 2-0 in regional play after beating Lipscomb and Indiana on Friday and Saturday, respectively.
