As we get closer to the summer, the Football program is about to enter the best part of the offseason: RECRUITING SEASON.

Offers have gone out all over the WORLD; 247Sports Reports Coach Mason and his staff have sent out almost 200 scholarship offers. Over the next several busy, busy weeks of recruiting, there will be a weekly article like this one that details the latest offers as well as updates on our top targets for the 2016 Class and beyond. Today, will kick things off with Vandy's latest commit.

Deuce Wallace - Deuce committed to the Commodores on April 19th when he flipped his commitment from Northwestern. Since his commitment, Deuce has reportedly been lighting up the camp circuit, and many experts expect his rating to increase as we get closer to the beginning of his Senior season. Deuce also came out to #NashVegas for an unofficial visit this weekend, according to his twitter account.

RECENT 2016 OFFERS

Phil Patterson: Patterson is an extremely athletic  6-foot-2 170 pound WR from Bayside HS in Virginia Beach, VA. Vanderbilt was his first SEC offer, which he said "Means a lot to me sir!" Strother currently plays for Campolindo HS in Moraga, CA and according to his 247Sports Profile, is a top 70 OT in the country. Vanderbilt is seen as the favorite for the time being, but he has other offers from Cal, Colorado, and Army to name a few. You can catch his junior highlights here.

Jordan Mack: Mack is a physical 6-foot-2, 182 pound Defensive Back from Wesleyan School in Norcross, GA. Mack's offer list also includes Virginia, Boston College, and Georgia Tech - but Vanderbilt is his first SEC offer. according to his 247Sports profile, Mack is thought of as being a top 25 ATH overall, and a top 40 player in the state of Georgia.
