Vanderbilt doesn't play this weekend, so it's understandable if the college football world is dead to you. Personally, I'll be playing golf in Scotland (which explains why I've been relatively absent around these parts - regular posts should resume next week), but that should still give me enough time to double back and catch a solid, Commodore-less Saturday of gridiron excitement that evening. While there are only two matchups between ranked programs, a handful of budding conference rivalries should be enough to tide us over until Vandy returns against South Carolina on the 17th.
Best Game: (13) Northwestern at (18) Michigan. The Wildcats head north for a Harbrawl, and Vandy fans get to see a nerd school's best-case scenario come to fruition if Northwestern pulls off the win.
Worst Game: (3) Baylor at Kansas. This game is going to be the realization of the score predictions from Saturday Night Live's old Bill Swersky's Superfans sketches. Baylor 402, Kansas 0? Completely reasonable, even if the Jayhawks find a way to limit Seth Russell to fewer than 200 points.
