Vanderbilt sent out its week six depth chart on Tuesday. After a week to heal and get some folks back, Vanderbilt should be almost at full strength at most positions, specifically the offensive line where a number of players went down during the MTSU game.
Depth Chart changes from last week:
Offense
WR: Caleb Scott has taken over the WR2 role that was previously a battle between Kris Kentera and Latevious Rayford. Rayford is now the backup WR1 while Kentera has taken over the role as backup WR2. Scott really showed out during the MTSU game, making some critical catches so we should see him blossom in this role opposite Trent Sherfield.
RB: It appears that Josh Crawford's brief appearance during the Ole Miss game may have been a waste as he is not on this week's depth chart and reportedly may be out for the year. Here is hoping that he can get cleared for a medical redshirt or it will have been costly redshirt to burn.
FB: Dallas Rivers has returned as the or designation for fullback along with Ladarius Banks. This seems to be in direct response to moving Kyle Anderton from FB to TE.
OL: The Offense line took some hits during the MTSU but it looks like most folks will be back. Justin Skule is likely not going to play and thus is listed as an or instead of starting.
Defense
Not a ton of changes on the defensive side other than Andrew Williamson being listed as an or due to injuries. We are likely to see Ryan White starting or taking more snaps. Arnold Tarpley is listed back at Nickel Safety (I refuse to call it Nickelback).
New True Freshman Who Played @ MTSU:
Andrew Rector
Jay Hockaday
Injury Report:
Nigel Bowden (Concussion Protocol)
DeAndre Woods (Out for Season)
Harding Harper (Out for Season)
Jared Pinkney (Since week 1)
Josh Crawford (Potentially out for season)
Andrew Williamson (?)
Justin Skule (?)
What to look for this weekend:
Develop depth for back end of the season
Manage offensive line and hopefully develop the run game
Continue to develop the TEs
