2014 Coaches' Poll: Week One. No Votes for Vanderbilt, One for Temple

It's not surprising, but Vanderbilt didn't make a dent in the top 25 after getting mollywopped by Temple last week. The Owls failed to get any love from the coaches either despite an emphatic road win.

That's right, we're a Temple blog now.

It turns out blowing out an SEC team on the road isn't worth much these days. Temple, who routed Vandy 37-7 on Thursday, received just a single vote in the second edition of the Amway Coaches' Poll. That means that some enterprising coach had them ranked 25th. The Commodores had received two votes in the preseason rankings, but failed to garner anyone's sympathy after last week's shellacking.

Here's the top 25 in its entirety. This week's opponent, Ole Miss, is ranked 17th.
