2014 VANDERBILT DEPTH CHART RELEASED

New, 24 comments

We've blustered, we've pontificated, we've even had a cheap laugh or two. But now, we have it. The depth chart for the 2014 football season is here!

Thomas Campbell-USA TODAY Sports

The Vanderbilt Football depth chart for opening night has been released, and it comes with a few surprises. Ralph Webb is now Vandy's starting tailback. Jay Woods earned an opening night role on the defensive line in the team's new 3-4 setup. And Caleb Azubike hasn't just been shifted (briefly) to the bench - the athletic department also kept up the rich tradition of spelling his name incorrectly.

Here's a breakdown of the Commodores' first depth chart of 2014. We'll have an in-depth look at the surprising and non-surprising picks that new coach Derek Mason made for the season opener vs. Temple later in the afternoon.
