College Football Viewing Guide: Week Nine

Week nine of the NCAA Football season may not have the luster of the marquee matchups that weeks seven and eight brought, but it's packed with quality gridiron action nonetheless. Ole Miss/LSU and Utah/USC are the only tilts between ranked teams, but plenty of other matchups - say, Michigan/Michigan State or Arizona State/Washington have plenty of intrigue in their own right.

Best Game: #23 West Virginia at Oklahoma State. This is the happy intersection of quality football and conference realignment. Two traditionally high-powered offenses will clash in the Big 12 - a conference that is very much still up for grabs; five teams have one loss or fewer in B12 play. The Mountaineers and Cowboys are two of them.

Worst Game: UMass at Toledo. Can UMass make it three wins in a row? If your response to this question was anyone other than a disinterested shrug, you may need to see a psychiatrist.
