You can start planning your weekends for the fall of 2015 now. The SEC released next season's football schedule on Tuesday night.
Vanderbilt will open 2015 with a home matchup against Western Kentucky, then jump right into the meat of their SEC schedule when Georgia comes to town one week later. Other big time home games include Missouri, Texas A&M, and a resurgent Kentucky team.
Here's the schedule in full:
Date: | Opponent |
9/5/2015 | Western Kentucky |
9/12/2015 | Georgia |
9/19/2015 | Austin Peay |
9/26/2015 | at Ole Miss |
10/3/2015 | at Middle Tennessee |
10/10/2015 | BYE |
10/17/2015 | at South Carolina |
10/24/2015 | Missouri |
10/31/2015 | at Houston |
11/7/2015 | at Florida |
11/14/2015 | Kentucky |
11/21/2015 | Texas A&M |
11/28/2015 | at Tennessee |
Year two of the Derek Mason era (assuming it gets that far) won't be any easier than the first. Road trips to Florida, Tennessee, South Carolina, and Ole Miss will likely pin the 'Dores as significant underdogs. A cross-divisional matchup will bring Texas A&M to Nashville for the first time, but Vandy is unlikely to be the favorite despite their home-field advantage.
What say you, Commodore faithful? What's your most anticipated home game for 2015?
