Back when he was hired, Vanderbilt Commodores Football Head Coach James Franklin spoke about the different phases of criticism the Commodores would go through as the program began to take shape in the New Era. He wanted Commodore fans and potential recruits alike to understand the mindset of the opponents as he began the transformation process.

Stage One: They will say that we can't recruit them to Vanderbilt. [Check]

Stage Two: They will say that we won't keep them as recruits come signing day. [Check - Though we did lose one in Josh Dawson.]

Stage Three: After we recruit them and then they sign, and the season didn't go as poorly as they believed it would have, they will say that Vanderbilt and Coach Franklin must be cheating.

Looks like some Vols fans have already reached stage three. (Premium link; Screengrab after the jump)
