Vanderbilt Baseball: 2011 SEC Co-Champions

Congratulations to the Vanderbilt Commodore Baseball team on winning a share of the SEC's regular season championship with their 17-7 series-clinching victory over the Georgia Bulldogs!

With the win, the Commodores will either enter the SEC Baseball Tournament as the third or fourth seed, depending on the outcome of the Florida-Kentucky game later today. A Florida win means they, too, will share the SEC regular season championship and that the Commodores will be fourth. A Florida loss and we're third.

By winning their game earlier today, South Carolina clinched a share of the regular season championship as well as the overall top seed in the SEC tournament.

Congratulations to the Diamond Dores, who finished the season 44-9 overall and 22-8 in SEC play.

An extremely impressive stat after the break.

After the Westlake home run, #Vanderbilt has now outscored SEC opponents 234 to 96 on the season. Lead 17-7 today.less than a minute ago via web Favorite Retweet Reply
