I tend to be overly optimistic. I mentioned the possibility of a Kentucky hangover in the periscope, but wrote it off because of the revenge factor. If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing. Thankfully, the team is no worse for the wear after nearly dropping a game that would have put us in a tie for second place in the SEC East with Florida. Hopefully, the team is ready to move forward as they still have unfinished business. At this point, they've got just over 24 hours until the tip versus Arkansas in "Fayettenam".

Plus/Minus

Plus/Minus Adjusted Per 40 Minutes

Festus Ezeli and John Jenkins win the plus/minus awards. If Festus can keep his current stranglehold on the plus/minus stat, we might consider renaming the award. Keep it up big fella! I'd also like to point out that JJ's performance came in spite (or perhaps as an answer to) the difficult game he had against Kentucky. That's mental toughness, and it appears our lone freshman has it in spades. So much for any thoughts of the John Wall block negatively impacting JJ's confidence.

Guaranteed to be an upset: In the past seven days I've seen Arkansas lose to a dreadful LSU team and Vanderbilt take a great Kentucky team to the final minute. So it makes no sense to predict Vanderbilt will fall Saturday at Arkansas. But things that make no sense happen every weekend in college basketball. So why not?
