Ryder Cup 2012: Session 3 - Brandt Snedeker and Jim Furyk Defeat Rory McIlroy and Graeme McDowell

Payback.

The United States stretch their lead to eight to four over the Europeans with three wins in the morning session foursomes (alternating play).

Snedeker and Furyk opened their match with a win on the first hole and never trailed. The match seesawed a bit between a one hole and two hole lead for the Americans.

In the other morning matches, Justin Rose and Ian Poulter defeated Webb Simpson and Bubba Watson on the final hole to give the Europeans their lone match for the session. Keegan Bradley and Phil Mickelson defeated Lee Westwood and Luke Donald by seven holes with six left to play. Jason Dufner and Zach Johnson defeated Nicolas Colsaerts and Sergio Garcia by two holes with one left to play.

In the Saturday Afternoon Fourball (best ball), Colsaerts and Paul Lawrie take on Dustin Johnson and Matt Kuchar, Justin Rose and Francesco Molinari play Bubba Watson and Webb Simpson, Sergio Garcia and Luke Donald square off against Tiger Woods and Steve Stricker, and Rory McIlroy and Ian Poulter face Jason Dufner and Zach Johnson.
