Let's rebuild

I was excited a few years ago when we got our talented freshman class - this has been the most talented Vanderbilt basketball team I've seen since the F Troop years. That having been said what did this team accomplish? They won one SEC Tournament championship. Congratuations guys, you won ONE tournament. Other than that they didn't do squat. Why? Because they didn't play with heart nor did they play with their brains. This was not a quality Vanderbilt basketball team, all of them are quality guys but I'm glad they are leaving. Jeff Taylor, Festus Ezeli, Brad Tinsley, Lance (my favorite player since Charles Davis,) Ogilvie? Get your master's degrees and prepare for life after basketball. None of you guys are NBA material. I thought for sure that Taylor and Ezeli would make it to the NBA but forget it, they can't shoot free throws. I can't play basketball but I can hit free throws, why can't these guys? Because they lack the mental discipline and they are not NBA material. There are good basketball jobs in Sweden, Italy and Turkey - learn to speak those languages Jeff and Festus. You aren't going to make a living here unless you further your educations.

Coach Stallings has done an exceptionally poor job recruiting for next year, I hope he steps up his efforts because, although I'm glad to see most of the current Vanderbilt players graduate I'm not looking forward to next year. Time for a total rebuild and perhaps it's time for a new coach too. Hey guys, don't let the door hit you on the way out!
