I can't find an international stream for ESPNU
What’s the crowd look like?
DC and Vandy Sports - A Lesson in Letdowns
Found a link
Looks pretty solid, even if there are one or two spots of blue over on the sides.
DC and Vandy Sports - A Lesson in Letdowns
There are a fair number of those fugly jerseys
But they have mostly been relegated to the upper deck and are not seen on the main TV shots.
I like Tennessee and Vanderbilt. There aren't many like me, and they're probably better off for it.
Don't love the tie die
Looks more like Mizzou than Vandy.

Music and the Fall of Segregation
Sign me up.
I took some of those classes to fulfill my history requirements for the liberal arts….history of american music, history of jazz. They were very interesting and educational, but not exactly difficult. Music and the fall of segregation sounds similar…interesting, educational, but not exactly difficult.
American Music
Was one of my favorite classes at Vandy…though mainly just because Dr. Love was so passionate about it, and knew a ton of stuff that wasn’t in the book and is less common knowledge. I’ll never listen to anything American the same way.
DC and Vandy Sports - A Lesson in Letdowns
I'm starting to get anxious
and nervous. I get the feeling that this game will be determined by each team’s attitude in the first 5-10 minutes of the game. We have to come out strong.
I miss Memorial – the feeling during that Tennessee beatdown a few years ago when they had beaten Memphis a few days before. They were #1 for something like 12 hours. One of the most intense games I’ve ever been to.
That, and when the crowd at memorial made Calathes stumble into a backcourt violation to get us the ball as time expired.
We need that feeling.
Shit I’m pumped. And nervous.
DC and Vandy Sports - A Lesson in Letdowns
The environment at Memorial for the UT game in '08 was unbelievable.
We’re going to need that and more tonight. I wish I could be there.

I was a little surprised by the crowd this morning, I really expected a more substantial Commodore turnout. There was no doubt the blue was going to be there. I hope the Dores, and the fans, are ready to step it up tonight!
Awesome
I’m going to frontpage the link, if you don’t mind. Just let me know if you want it taken down. Very cool stuff.

Their luck finally runs out...
Not sure how the kept managing to win every close game they were in. Their defense is absolutely pitiful(Auburn scored 88 on them….wow). I really, really want another shot against them in the SEC Tourney. I think we’re better.

SEC
Mississippi State now 6-4, Arkansas 5-5.
I hope Alabama can win at LSU to get to 6-4 as well. Big game for them today.
Yep.
A win today puts us in fantastic position to finish second, provided we handle UF at home.

Alabama might depend on how long these "indefinite suspensions" last.
Four players out is kind of a huge deal on a basketball team.

One hour.
DC and Vandy Sports - A Lesson in Letdowns
We're live again!
It has been the longest day waiting for this game. Commentary on the elevated floors lead the discussion.
I get so sick of the bench discussion every year...
…it’s just been that way for 50 years!! It’s freakin’ Adolph Rupp’s fault that that they’re on the end of the court anyway!!
We have a special whistle and stomp!
DC and Vandy Sports - A Lesson in Letdowns

Surely that was a joke
Hasn’t he repeatedly talked about how he likes Memorial in the past?
It’s entirely possible I’m misremembering, but I thought he was poking fun at the incessant discussion of the benches every time a major (hell, even a minor) team plays us.
by Aaron Novick on Feb 11, 2012 8:49 PM EST up reply actions
That's what Rupp did to have them moved to each end of the court...
…it’s Kentucky’s world, we are all just here to serve them! God, I hope we smoke their ass tonight!
The Benches
I just wish they would stop talking about it. Whatever advantage we have there is similar to whatever advantage Kentucky has at Rupp…it comes from having good teams and good coaching. Bud Walton, on the otherhand, used Satan as a contractor.
How's the atmosphere in Memorial?

I thought it was a violation.

Only in David was involved.
Or Tiger Woods.

Yep...now I'm pissed
A lame first half and 4 bad minutes at the end. Pretty cut and dry.
I like Tennessee and Vanderbilt. There aren't many like me, and they're probably better off for it.
I think that's the key for us from here on out
Take care of the should wins…though Ole Miss is feisty and the next 2 games are on the road.
I like Tennessee and Vanderbilt. There aren't many like me, and they're probably better off for it.
That is the key.
Right now everyone is realizing how good UK is. I think we are good, and we have demonstrated that. We win the games we should and we’ll get in. Get something additional, like UF or a “run” in the SEC tournament, then we have a chance at a good seed (although it would be hard to make a run if we’re #4 and face UK in game 2). If we keep improving, then no matter what seed, I think we have a chance to do something. Our offense is really good when we run it.
Just make sure Anthony Grant doesn't suspend our entire starting line-up.
That guy doesn’t take anything does he?
by Pope Vanderbilt on Feb 11, 2012 11:07 PM EST up reply actions
Nope
And there’s a huge cluster of SEC teams at 6-4 and 5-5. If we lose, we’re in serious danger of losing one of those byes in the SECT.

That could alter what round we lose to Arkansas.

Please God, let us beat Florida this year, twice preferably.

I'm 99% sure Arkansans draw all of their power from being in the state of Arkansas
Which also solves the ages old question: “why would anyone live in Arkansas?”
HI-OH! (also sorry, doresandhogs, I make jokes when I’m sad).
also sorry doresandhogs
But that’s a legitimate question before it’s a joke

Nope.
He and Hillary have long since deserted the Natural State for more politically influential grounds.

Doesn't make a difference if we still don't score in the last minute
But no question Miller’s layup was a shot-clock violation. He was still pump faking when the clock went to zero. Don’t think the refs could hear the horn. You could hardly hear it video.
To,e tp drink away the pain
I thought about correcting the above but then I decided it was an amusing commentary on my altered and rapidly becoming more altered state. It probably isn’t but I’m sticking with it.

I stick with Bushmills
Jameson makes me feel like I can whip any man in the house. Bushmills makes me feel like I can whip EVERY man in the house. Which has been my downfall in past encounters with a glass of Bushmills.

Gutsy performance by Festus...
but the guy clearly is a shell of himself. Healthy Festus takes that pass from Brad and puts us up 65-61. Broken down Festus settles for a low percentage layup attempt. 8-0 after that.
Anthony Davis will haunt Lance’s dreams tonight.
