I've long been a fan of Coach Stallings but I think the time has come to consider his replacement. Let's face it, he hasn't recruited a blue chip prospect since John Jenkins and he only has one decent commitment for next year. When you look at the top 100 prospects he only was interested in two of them - the power forward he got out of Baton Rouge and Austin Nichols, who elected to go to Memphis because of academics (WTF?)
I'd like to see Kevin Stallings resign honorably after a pathetic 2012/2013 finish, naming his own inability to sign top recruits. And I'd like to see David Williams accept the resignation and sign Anthony Grant, now the head coach at Alabama. Coach Grant has fire, can recruit and doesn't appear tired of the whole process like Stallings does.
A new coach and a new approach will hopefully make Vandy competitive again as early as the 2014/2015 season - until then I'm not holding my breath.
