Basketball: Marquette, Miami (OH) and Auburn Postgame Reports

Coach Stallings recently remarked that, since Christmas, the Commodores have finally been able to practice consistently with all of their main players able to participate. No more Festus struggling with either knee (the big fella opted to forego his Christmas break to put in extra time in order to maintain his rehab progress - what a stud). No more symptoms from concussions keeping Lance and Steve out. Even John missed some time for a minor ailment. The Dores have finally been running on all cylinders and the coaches have taken advantage of that practice time to fine tune the engine. The best part is that it absolutely shows up in the game performances. Just after these three games, the Commodores adjusted defensive efficiency is already much better than it was last season (91.8 today vs. 97.8 last season), and Festus is just now starting to knock off the rust. Barring any further injury trouble (KNOCK ON FREAKING WOOD), we should see this team get even better, as all the main pieces finally start to sync together.
