I was thinking about just saying, "Put 9 in the box", and then ending this article. But that would be lazy.
So, I think i'll start with some good news. The good news?
Stephen Garcia starts the year looking pretty mediocre. Out of the 125 points the Cocks have put up in three weeks, he only threw for 12 of those points. Of course, 18 others came from his feet- but i'm just saying, his passing hasn't looked as promising as everyone hoped the infamous "professor car-keyer's" pigskin tossing would. I see Trey Wilson salivating right now.
The bad news?
Marcus Lattimore already has 534 yards. In 3 games. He leads the NCAA in rushing yards.
So... to beat South Carolina? I guess its put 9 in the box.
Leave Hayward and Wilson to get some picks. If Larry (or Jordan...*cough*) can muster a few TDs, we might have a fighting chance.
I must say, after sitting on those bleachers the past three games, my thinking went something like this;
"We'll see next week (UConn)." or "We'll see how good we really are next week (Ole Miss)."
While I was hoping for that shutout last week, I still don't know if Ole Miss was really a test. Am I crazy here? Should I just appreciate the 3-0 start?
Anyone else have some ideas? I'm definitely no James Franklin. All I know is that he has been blasting South Carolina's fight song all week during practice.
"We'll see how good we really are this week."
