Double Elimination Tournament

Will someone please define this for me so that I can send it on to Mike Slive.  I guess it is on to bigger and better things but this format needs to be revisited for the future.  On a side note, not surprisingly, Aaron Fitt seemed to relish in Arkansas (RPI #14) losing out to UCLA (RPI #33) for a regional (UGA and LSU also have higher RPI's).  Of course he then needed three posts on Twitter to somehow defend his opinion and the selection.
