VandySports.com: Vanderbilt Inks Second 2012 Basketball Recruit

Kevin Stallings added another recruit to his 2012 ledger on Monday, when Florida shooting guard A.J. Astroth verballed. Astroth, a 6'5" swingman, turned down offers from Stanford, South Carolina, and Providence, among others, to commit to the Commodores. Astroth reclassified to the 2012 class by taking a postgrad year at First Baptist Academy. His plan looks to have paid off, as he's garnered more interest this year and should see his stock rise through the 2011-2012 high school season. As a swingman who can play the 2 and 3, he'll have a chance to contribute quickly for Vanderbilt. Rumor has it that he can shoot the hell out of the ball. That'll play well here.
