and now we’re back with men on 1st and 2nd. 2 away, so I guess we were successful in preventing the DP. Would be nice to have the bases loaded.

Just got back. Decided against going back down to L’Ville – without room in the press box at the field, I can update better watching the live feed. The access was great, but tough to justify another trip today.

2 walks, and a Joe Loftus HBP to start the 3rd inning. Runners on base without a hit? That sounds like the Vandy offense to me.

From Giobbi adds another run (without a hit) to put Vandy at 2-0. One out in the 3rd.

And Vandy has the bases loaded and two out in the 4th inning.

If Vandy wins, when would they play L’ville and would they have to beat them twice?

As the Vanderbilt ISP makes a fax in the background of their broadcast. Production values!

ISU’s 9th walk. Vandy has 2 on, 2 out for ESPO. If he fails to get on base, then it’ll be 11 LOB for Vandy…through 5 innings.

Westlake can’t handle a long throw from third on what would have been the 3rd out. Upon recovering the ball, he guns it to home where the throw has the runner dead in his tracks…

but the low throw gets past Drew Fann.

This one on ISU, botching a double play ball and giving Vandy some life.

A double, and then a hard luck, weird spin bunt puts 2 on for the Redbirds. Not a great situation.

Would you even question it? The Vanderbilt GIDP is so commonplace that it makes anything unique or interesting from the offense seem terrible. 71 on the year.
