Sonny Gray will look to be Vanderbilt's savior against the Seminoles, but which ace will show up? The one that shut out Arkansas in a first round win during the SEC Tournament, or the one who got rocked early and late against Louisville in the NCAA Tournament?

Join us here for all the action at 1 PM Eastern time as the Commodores face yet another elimination game in the NCAA Baseball Tournament. Vanderbilt will have to win today and tomorrow in order to punch their ticket to the College World Series, while Florida State just needs one more win to make their 20th trip to Omaha. Taking the hill for the 'Dores will be righthanded ace Sonny Gray, while the Seminoles will start lefty Brian Busch.

The pitching match-up favors the Commodores, but as we saw in Louisville, that doesn't always lead to a win. Can Sonny Gray return to his mid-season form against a top lineup? Will the Vanderbilt bats break out like they did Friday? Stick around and find out, as we wait to see if Vandy can prolong their season for another day.

Gray looks solid

Takes down the top of the order (which was trouble yesterday) 1-2-3, but takes about 20 or so pitches to do so. Still, liking it.

Vandy takes a 2-0 lead

After a pair of errors put runners on 2nd and 3rd, Aaron Westlake gets a RBI groundout. After an Esposito ground out, Curt Casali doubles off the wall to bring home GoGo. Cas advanced to 3rd on a passed ball, but Andrew Giobbi couldn’t drive him home, flying out to left-center field.

With 2 on and 1 out, but VU gets the double play to end the threat. On the other end, the ’Dores go down 1-2-3 to usher in the 5th inning.

A solo shot by Jayce Boyd (his 2nd in 2 game) makes it 3-1 in the top of the 5th.

FSU gets another one

Two walks (on a suspiciously tight strike zone for Sonny Gray) and an infield single (on a blown call) loaded the bases for FSU. A single by #9 hitter Lopez scored the runner from 3rd, but Joe Loftus gunned down the second runner to end the inning.

A Casali double plates one, followed by a Giobbi bunt that ends up misplayed to score a second run. Yaz! finishes the inning with a RBI single to push the VU lead to 6-2.

We’re headed into the top of the 9th, 3 outs from a game three.
