Not sure why the 'Dores aren't going with Sonny
BarcaBlog suggests it’s a scouting matchup due to Hill’s propensity to allow fewer walks, but I think Gray may have needed a little extra rest after outings Friday/Monday in Louisville.
I’m all for getting Sonny at 100%, but pitching him Saturday would seem to limit his ability to throw out of the bullpen in a potential deciding game. Although I guess that didn’t really work out last time, did it?

Saving him is much better
I don’t really want him out there on short rest. The point about the bullpen is a good one but not enough to offset the negative effects of pitching him tired IMO.
Vandy goes down 1-2-3 to open the game
3 at bats, 3 groundouts.

This just supports my long-standing theory
As a sports fan, the most dangerous thing you can have is hope. I was ready to write this off when it was 6-0, but then we had to come take the lead. Dammit dammit dammit.
