Around SBN: Nevin Shapiro Vows To Bring Down Miami

Elston Turner Jr. Narrows Transfer Options to Schools Not Named Vanderbilt

From the Seattle Times:

--- Elston Turner, who decided to transfer, is believed to be visiting Texas A&M and Baylor. A few weeks ago, he said the Aggies and the Bears were the two finalists.

Turner's possible transfer to Vandy was covered here last month. He would have been a great addition for the 2011-2012 season, but it looks like he'll be picking a school closer to his Houston home. Instead, the Commodores will continue their search for a sharpshooting and athletic shooting guard to play behind John Jenkins for the next three years. While Turner hasn't made a final decision yet, it seems like he's destined to play in the Big 12 once he becomes eligible in 2011.

Assuming the Big XII

lasts that long…

Hell, A&M might be a part of the SEC by the time he graduates.

Hey Train

I saw you were interviewed by TeamSpeedKills recently and noted living in Indy. I also live in Indy – there are a few of us around. We should start getting together to watch games.

Absolutely

I’ve been looking for Vandy fans since I moved up there. Unfortunately, I might be leaving town soon for a new job, but worst case scenario there’s always the NCAA Baseball Tournament at whatever bar has Gumballhead on tap. Where do you normally go for VU games?

Usually...

At my house – I get the package for hoops and football. And while I don’t have Gumballhead on tap, I do stock it regularly along with other 3 Floyds offerings. Additionally, I will often have Growlers of SunKing and Upland around.

Def. up for some SEC baseball viewing. Email me at bjbrinkerhoff at g mail dot com

Nice

I’ll shoot you an e-mail when I’m back in town, should be around Memorial Day for the 500.

Gumballhead??

I’ve had all kinds but never gumball. If you catch my drift.

BethAnne knows.
