About to announce the Midwest.

Hopefully we’re not apart of it. I want to stay away from KU.

keep posted!

You’re my eyes & ears!!!

WHOA

UT gets 6? I’m nervous.

by doredarling on Mar 14, 2010 6:13 PM EDT reply actions

Almost everyone had them ranked ahead of us despite our sweep. I thought they deserved better.

by doredarling on Mar 14, 2010 6:13 PM EDT up reply actions

wow

That’s where my numbers slotted them, but I didn’t believe it.

by BrianSWard on Mar 14, 2010 6:14 PM EDT via mobile up reply actions

I think

Vandy gets better than a 6. Vandy always gets undervalued right before the seeds are released and then everyone is surprised when they are so high. Then comes the “fraud” talk

by KingJamesIV on Mar 14, 2010 6:15 PM EDT up reply actions

I definitely believe we deserve better than a 6, but I wasn’t expecting UT there. Clearly I need to value Brian’s work more.

by doredarling on Mar 14, 2010 6:16 PM EDT up reply actions

Don’t care for being in the West though. I’ll take the 4!

by doredarling on Mar 14, 2010 6:19 PM EDT up reply actions

2 wins gets us ’cuse…the last team I wanted to see. But bonus for the bags of shit I will get in preparation for a possible vu/butler matchup

“I like Vanderbilt to advance to the Sweet Sixteen”
Thanks, CBS. We do, too.

Pat Forde

“Murray and Vandy a couple hours apart, have to travel to San Jose to play each other.”

Ironic, isn’t it?

by doredarling on Mar 14, 2010 6:25 PM EDT reply actions

Utep a 12 and houston a 13? Doesn’t seem fair. Utep was ranked #20 last week

by Train Island on Mar 14, 2010 6:29 PM EDT via mobile reply actions

Not fair.

But many were questioning if they’d even be in, so I’m sure they’re plenty happy right now.

by doredarling on Mar 14, 2010 6:31 PM EDT up reply actions

Anyone else relieved we aren't in South?

I’d love to play in Duke’s region…but I am relieved not to have Purdue’s draw of Siena.

by doredarling on Mar 14, 2010 6:36 PM EDT reply actions

no thx

Murray St is a solid 13.

Siena is a ridiulously good 13. Again.

by BrianSWard on Mar 14, 2010 6:40 PM EDT via mobile up reply actions

I'm sad for the Illini.

Would have liked to see them get to dance.

by doredarling on Mar 14, 2010 6:40 PM EDT reply actions

Don't cry for Illinois

Save your tears for my beloved Rams, playing their way out of the Tournament in February every year since 2004.

by Train Island on Mar 14, 2010 6:48 PM EDT up reply actions

Rhode Island

A sad year for all the Ocean State’s teams though. Providence lost their last 11-12 games, Rhode Island played themselves off the bubble, Brown, as usual, played poorly (but no one cared) and Bryant, in their 2nd year at the D-1 level, made a very real run at 0-30 before beating Wagner to finish 1-29. A banner year, indeed.

by Train Island on Mar 14, 2010 7:39 PM EDT up reply actions

Bryant?

I honestly didn’t know there was such a thing.

I’m a former Ram myself … Colorado State …

by BrianSWard on Mar 14, 2010 9:56 PM EDT up reply actions

Bryant.

They oughta make a movie out of that. Such a dramatic final win.

We don't mess around.

THIS IS BULLDOG COUNTRY! Smithfield, RI, stand UP!

Also...

I think this was the year they added at least one player through scouting intramural games. Bryant University – where dreams come true.

Breaking News

Jennifer Hudson in. Luther Vandross out. Most important selection of the tourney?

by doredarling on Mar 14, 2010 6:57 PM EDT reply actions

Anyone going?

Unfortunately, I can’t get a decent airfare rate so it looks like I’ll be watching on TV.

by Vandy Dan on Mar 14, 2010 8:25 PM EDT reply actions

Murray St.

Only four teams in the last five years have shot 50% and held their opponents under 40%. Three of those teams went to the Final Four.

Only two teams did it this year. One is Syracuse. The other?

Murray State.

My biggest complaint ...

why the **** does Duke get the easiest bracket in the history of the world???

Villanova, Baylor, Purdue, Texas A&M, and Notre Dame??? Those are the top six seeds?

’Nova’s been tanking, Baylor’s pretty good, Purdue is easy pickings, A&M (eh), and Notre Dame (overseeded). Must be nice to be the darlings of AmEx.

YESSSSSSS!!!!

I will walk out the door, step onto the light rail, get out at the Tank, and see you all in Section 224 at 11 AM local time Thursday. DYNAMITE! WHO YA WIT!!

(actual voice mail to the boss ~4 PM today: “Can I have Thursday off? Because I’m not going to be there.”)

Nice.

You live in San Jose?

Love that.

"Can I have Thursday off? Because I’m not going to be there."

Hear hear!

I’ve already told my wife that I’m taking our new baby to Salt Lake City. Only problem, she’s scheduled to be induced on 3/25. The day of the game. It’s only an 8-hour drive ………

by BrianSWard on Mar 15, 2010 2:26 PM EDT up reply actions

Congratulations on the baby!

If it’s a boy: Shan Jermaine Ward
If it’s a girl: Alexandra Gordon Ward

Both good options.

With Apologies To Randy Edsall, The Big East Remains Mostly Harmless

FILE -- This is an Oct. 18, 2008 file photo showing Connecticut corner back Jasper Howard (6) trying to get the crowd into the game during the fourth quarter of an NCAA college football game against Rutgers, in Piscataway, N.J. Jasper Howard had his little sisters' names tatooed on his chest. His friends say it was a constant reminder of why he was at U Conn _ to provide his family with a better life than the one he had in Miami's Little Haiti. (AP Photo/Mel Evans, File) link
